Hunt Slonem Sale Preview at Stair Galleries
On Saturday, October 17, antiquarians from near and far descended on Stair Galleries in Hudson (that's Colin Stair, far left, with veteran Hudson antiques dealer Rich Rasso) for a preview of the season's most eagerly-awaited sale, the Hunt Slonem Collection from Edgewood Terrace. Slonem, a New York-based painter given to buying and preserving historic houses, is selling his imposing Second Empire-style brick mansion across the river in Kingston, and its astonishing contents will go on the block at Stair next Saturday, October 24th.
