Carrie Haddad Packs the House
Most residents of Hudson, NY, are architecture buffs, which is why they migrate to this historic city and devote so much time to renovating and decorating their houses. And that's probably why Carrie Haddad Photographs, the gallery at 318 Warren Street, was jammed for the opening of Architectural Photography: from 1860 to the Present, with selections from the Stan Ries Architectural Photograph Collection. Gallery director Melissa Stafford (left with architect/photographer Ritch Holben) was thrilled with the turnout and how seriously the crowd was studying the pictures by artists such as Ansel Adams, Julius Shulman, Norman McGrath, James Anderson and Brassai.
