An Auspicious Debut: Nonprofit Center Of The Berkshires’ Awards Breakfast
A sold-out crowd at the first big event for the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires (NPC) is a testament to the hard work of NPC founder and executive director Liana Toscanini and her small staff. NPC’s inaugural Berkshire Nonprofit Awards Breakfast, held on Tuesday, May 22 at the Country Club of Pittsfield, saw a packed house, including 21 finalists and their supporters. The two-year-old NPC was created to help Berkshire County’s 1,000-plus nonprofits connect to each other, to the resources they need and to the community. The awards recognize the dedication and accomplishments of those who work or volunteer in this important sector. Award winners not pictured below include Mark Lefenfeld and Jay Weintraub of Backyard Bounty of the Berkshires, Kelly Akroman of Moments House, June Wolfe of Construct, Inc., Amy Guachione of Berkshire Children & Families and James Mahon of the Berkshire Food Project.
