Festival of Trees Cocktail Party
Gunn Memorial Library’s annual event features creatively decorated holiday trees, wreaths and stockings for sale to benefit the Library. Peruse the festive hall while sampling wine and hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants. 5-7 p.m.

December 1, Staatsburg
Friends of Mills Mansion Holiday Gala
Celebrate the holiday season with hors d’oeuvres, festive cocktails, a silent auction, and musical entertainment from The President’s Men. 6-8 p.m

December 3, Washington Depot
HVA’s Auction to Benefit the Environment
The Housatonic Valley Association’s 27th annual Auction to Benefit the Environment is chaired by board member and actress Christine Baranski, along with help from Margo Martindale, Diane von Furstenberg, Linda Allard and others. Enjoy live music, delectable edibles, cocktails and wine while you bid. Washington Primary School, 1 p.m. Auction begins at 2:30 p.m.

December 4, Great Barrington
RSYP Culinary Arts Apprenticeship Dinner
The annual Railroad Street Youth Project dinner will be held at Crissey Farm and will feature wine, hors d’oeuvres and a 5-course tasting menu prepared by the students and their mentors, including special guest Chris Bonniver, Executive Chef from the Hermitage Club. 5:30 p.m.

December 6, Torrington
Deck the Halls: Martini Tasting Party
The party is a benefit for FISH NWCT, whose mission is to provide the basic human needs – food, shelter and hope. It’s now the largest emergency homeless shelter in the NWCT corner, providing families, individuals and veterans a safe and secure haven, and serving area communities as a food pantry. 5:30-7:30 p.m.

December 9, Litchfield
Jingle and Mingle
Litchfield Jazz Festival and Camp’s holiday fundraiser is a dinner party with live music by Litchfield native and international jazz performer, vocalist/pianist Nicole Zuraitis. Litchfield Community Center, 6:30-10 p.m.
