40th Season Ruby Gala

Help Shakespeare & Company celebrate 40 years with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, performances by guest artists and friends and live music from Grammy Award-winning a cappella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock®. Dinner will be catered by Peter Platt of Old Inn on the Green and be followed by desserts and dancing with DJ BFG. 6–11 p.m.

Tanglewood Opening Night Gala
Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra open their 2017 Tanglewood season with a gala performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, Resurrection with soprano Malin Christensson and mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink. The evening begins with a cocktail reception and gala dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Concert begins at 8 p.m.

Art Omi Weekend: Dancing Under the Stars
Enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres and live music by Nkumu Katalay overlooking the firefly-lit sculpture park, in the company of Omi’s artists-in-residence. 8 p.m.–midnight. The following day, honor the artists at a country brunch at 11 a.m., followed by a tour their studios from 1–5 p.m.

Olana ‘67: A Public Work of Art

Olana State Historic Site’s summer party celebrates the 50th anniversary of Olana as a public work of art. Top regional chefs will create 1967-inspired hors d’oeuvres and a DJ will spin tunes from this era on Olana’s East Lawn. 6-8 p.m.

Berkshire Botanical Garden’s annual summer party will be held this year at the Home of Ellen and Chris Greendale, and will celebrate the new Berkshire Eagle. 5-8 p.m.
