Wining and Dining at The Warner Theatre

Rachel Louchen reports from Torrington. Over 600 people attended the 12th Annual Holiday Wine and Food Tasting at The Warner Theatre on Friday, Novembers 15. Originally opened as a movie theater in 1931, The Warner is now a cultural touchstone of the community, a mixed-use performing arts center that mounts dozens of live performances a year and provides art-in-education programs for thousands of young people across the region. With more than 80,000 patrons visiting each year, the theater still relies heavily on donations and support from the community, and with the turnout for the annual event exceeding last year’s by more than 100, its good work will no doubt continue on. Guests enjoyed multiple rooms of food and wine provided by local vendors and longtime supporters, and enjoyed the opportunity to take a peak at the oft described “most beautiful theater in Connecticut.” Above, Head of Sales and Marketing, Lesley Budny, with Bar and Concession Manager Sharon Chase, and volunteer Joe Bonetti.
