Night of Illusion at the Center for Performing Arts At Rhinebeck
Jamie Larson reports from Rhinebeck. On September 7, the air was cool and the sky a darkening blue as the sun went down on the towering red barn that is home to The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck on the evening of its magical celebration, “Night of Illusion.” Inside the theater, the Center’s many fans milled about while participating in a silent auction and helping themselves to food and libations before sitting down to watch the performance of illusionist Ryan Dutcher. While the event was free for supporters of the Center, many had their wallets and pocketbooks out to continue their funding of the venue, a vibrant part of the Rhinebeck community since 1994. Director of community and public relations for the center, Kevin Archambault, said the turnout was great to see and gratifying for the Center and its staff, pictured left: Elizabeth Thomas, Director of Education Babette Fasolino , Kathryn Dods, Technical Director Dave Popieluszko, Artistic and Managing Director Lou Trapani, Box Office Manager Eileen Contreni, Emily DePew, PR Director Kevin Archambault, Elizabeth Lococo, and Center President Andy Weintraub.
