Black 47 @ Infinity Music Hall

Friday, February 25 @ 8 p.m.

Many people know Black 47 for the band’s uncompromisingly political and unmistakably Irish songs; indeed, some are used in high school and college classrooms to teach the history of Ireland and “the Troubles.” But beyond the politics, this band can rock, as evidenced on the brand new release Funky Ceili, a collection of 18 of Black 47’s rollicking party songs. Don’t miss this gig if you’re thirsty for a raucous evening of exhilarating performance and can’t wait for the arrival of St. Patrick’s day to get your Irish on.
